Game on!

The Yanks really need to take the series today.  After dodging a bullet last night, they have a chance to finish out this short homestand on a good note.  Alot of road games on the schedule on the second half, now is the time to take advantage.  Here's the lineup:

1.  Jeter SS
2.  Granderson CF
3.  Teixeira CF
4.  Arod DH
5.  Cano 2b
6.  Martin C
7.  Swisher RF
8.  Jones LF
9.  Nunez, 3B

Quick thoughts:

1.  No Jorge, I'm ok with that.
2.  I know Andruw Jones is on the roster to hit lefties, but he hasn't hit lefties this year.  Andruw, please do your job and hit lefties or at least stop smiling when you don't.
3.  Russel Martin starting in a day game after a night game.  Love this guy, so does Joe Girardi.  He is coming off surgery and 2 days off on travel days like today would seem to be an ideal opportunity to keep him fresh.  Is Girardi losing confidence in Francisco Cervelli?  Is this an indication that Girardi is pressing for wins?  Would this team benefit from having Jesus Montero on the roster as a backup catcher/dh?
