Afternoon Baseball

It's a beautiful afternoon for baseball, which is why I will spend it in my office working.  Regretfully, I must rely on the dynamic radio duo will carry me thru this afternoon.  Nothing like Suzyn's Baseball Beat to get me excited for a game!  I used to enjoy working late and listening to a game on the radio.  However, at some point the Yankees Radio broadcast has become one of the most awefull of all baseball experiences.  Stearling has become a caricature of himself and Waldman has been awefull from day one.  At least if I knew exactly what was happing during a big play I would be somewhat satisfied with the broadcast.  Unfortunately, Stearling no longer seems to be able to deliver homerun, fair/foul, quick play calls, with any reliability.  You would think he would use the monitor as an aid.  I don't know.
